David Hendren

David is an experienced venture capital investor, entrepreneur, board member, executive, and business advisor focused on creating value by developing and commercializing innovations in healthcare, medical, life science, IT, and other market and technology areas.

His experience includes supporting development of innovative technologies for robotics; general, cardiac and vascular surgery; cardiology; clot management; wound management; orthopedics; endoscopy; urology; gastroenterology; bariatric medicine; diabetes; infectious disease; ophthalmology; oncology; regenerative medicine; drug development and delivery; informatics; disease management; diagnostics; imaging; IT and service delivery models.

David co-founded Augmentum Advisors in 2009 to pursue innovative business models for new enterprise creation, finance, and commercializing novel technologies; and to develop and support promising new and emerging ventures. He also co-founded Catalyst Health & Technology Partners and was instrumental as Founder and General Partner in transitioning it from consulting and merchant banking to venture capital investment, building the firm and its portfolio, and positioning and driving successful exits.

David began his career with 12 years of corporate law practice focused on start-ups, finance, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, healthcare, and technology, including as a partner of Peabody & Arnold in Boston.
