The Challenge
The Company, founded by two entrepreneurs, was a thought leader in industry research and analysis, delivered in white papers and at conferences. Although successful, the founders wanted to refocus on the core deliverables of the Company instead of business operations.
True North’s Role
True North developed and implemented a sale strategy for the Company. True North identified and contacted potential buyers, and then worked with the management team to prepare the management presentation, develop financial forecasts, and devise a negotiation strategy. True North assisted management in making presentations, and conducted the negotiations. The Company was acquired by a strategic buyer, the entrepreneurs received cash, a multi-year earn-out, and long-term employment agreements which allowed them to return to the part of the business they enjoyed.
